In the last few years, I have decided to take concepts of stereotypical tattoo designs and create versions for myself featuring my favorite Pokémon. Here, I decided to take our friend Magikarp and morph him into a traditional koi fish tattoo design. Magikarp is known to fans of the series for being very weak, often being referred to as "useless". The koi fish, however, symbolizes strength, courage, and perseverance.

This design brings an unforeseen focus to our silly fishy friend, highlighting him for his true nature as simply not yet having reached his full potential. Even un-evolved, you too can make a "Splash".
